Moon Bay
Moon Bay is a charming, crescent-shaped island located along the road to Likeng Village. In spring, when the canola flowers are in full bloom, the surrounding landscape turns a brilliant golden yellow, creating a breathtaking view.
Moon Bay has recently been developed into a scenic attraction called Yueliangwan Park. While it still offers the beautiful landscape that made Moon Bay famous, the newly developed park now offers visitors much more to explore and enjoy.
Moon Bay was once simply a roadside scenic stop, but it has become a favorite spot for photographers seeking beautiful landscape shots. The best time to visit is in the early morning, when mist often drifts across the water. The combination of white-walled houses, dark tiled roofs, traditional fishing boats, and calm green waters creates a magical scene reminiscent of a classic Chinese ink painting.
A riverside walking trail lets you walk, run, all the while taking in the beautiful scenery along the way.
Bamboo rafting at Moon Bay is a fun and relaxing way to enjoy the scenery, making it especially enjoyable for families and groups of friends. In the heat of summer, there’s no better way to cool off than by drifting peacefully along the water on a traditional bamboo raft.
The bamboo-lined path and the colorful structure along the riverside are two of the popular photography spots in the area.
The two-story café overlooks the river, making it a perfect place to take a break, enjoy the scenery, or simply spend a relaxing afternoon with a book—especially on a rainy day.
The park offers a variety of pleasant amenities to make your visit more enjoyable. The gift shop carries a selection of unique souvenirs, so be sure to stop in and browse. You’ll also find a range of local snacks and traditional foods to try.

- Entrance is free for the time being, 50 RMB/person for the Bamboo Rafting
- Open time: 8:00-17:00
- Visit time: around 1 hour
- 20 RMB/person for sightseeing bus inside, 10 RMB one way, recommend for elderly people or people with mobility issues
- #2 Bus from Wuyuan Train Station to Moon Bay directly. Bus runs from 7:30-17:10, Bus fee: 2 RMB/person, around every 45 minutes, wait time around lunch time is longer
