Jiangling Village

Featuring immense terraces cascading from the hilltop to the bottom of the valley, and the breathtaking bright golden sea of canola flowers stretching to the horizon, Jiangling is the spot where “Heaven and Earth”, a photograph honored with international gold awards, was taken. With Stately trees, rivers, terraced fields, and farmhouses co-exist harmoniously, Springtime in Jiangling is the postcard countryside at its most enchanting.

Blooming Canola Flowers

Jiangling is well-known for its picturesque views, specifically as a top destination for enjoying the bright blossoms of the golden canola flowers during springtime.

Jiangling Village is beautiful in every season. Feed your eyes on colorful scenery each season : golden yellow in spring, lush green in summer, silver white in winter and misty mornings all year round.

Jiangling Village’s misty and foggy mornings in Spring and Winter are another major attraction. It’s a common scene that, in the early dawn, photography enthusiasts gather on the observation deck, waiting patiently for the fog to lift and the sun to appear. A chance to shoot spectacular,  award-winning photography is yours.

Travel Tips:

  • Jiangling entrance ticket is 80RMB, if you want to visit other scenic spots, it’s worth to buy the combo ticket, which costs 210RMB (includes 12 scenic spots and lasts 5 days).
  • Jiangling has four official observation decks at different levels, you can drive to the highest observation deck, which is the ticket office and the entrance. It is also the best spot to take spectacular photos. You can then walk down to other three observation decks to view the sights from different angles.
  • During the high season, the road leading up to the top of the hill has the worst traffic jam. There are free shuttle buses running between the foot of the hill and top of the hill. You can walk up to the top or take motorcycles offered by the locals if the traffic is really bad, but be careful with the safety measure. Head out really early to avoid the crowds.
